This is Why He Came

“And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 NKJV

It’s one thing for someone greater than us to look down at our situation and feel sad for us. It’s another thing for the God of the universe to see the state of humanity and enter into it Himself, just to show us that He loves us, and that there is a better way. From Genesis to Malachi, there is a constant longing that God has to live with His people. But time and time again, we choose sin over Him. He shows His patience and long-suffering in that He created a plan for us to be with Him again, even after we messed up.

God knew that after Adam sinned, he had given up the rights of authority to satan, allowing satan to become the god of the system of this world. That system tied us down and kept us bound to things that killed us slowly. God wanted our freedom. He was eager to show us that there is a better life. So He sent the only Son He had and God Himself walked for 33 years on this earth, enduring the same temptations we go through, living with the same feelings and emotions that we have; knowing what it was like to be hungry, thirsty, exhausted, on the verge of quitting. Jesus knew all this. He still remembers what it was like. He went through all that to bring to us the Kingdom.

Princess, Christmas has nothing to do with decorated evergreen trees, snow or busy shopping malls. Christmas has everything to do with Jesus Christ coming down to earth and showing us the Kingdom of God He showed us that we can live in a perfect Kingdom established on righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost! We don’t have to live as slaves to the things of this world! We can be reborn free, adopted into the family of God; royal by birth!

THIS IS CHRISTMAS! THIS IS WHY HE CAME!

Unashamed

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16 NKJV

Hello Princess! I pray that God will continue to impress this WORD upon your heart even after you have read this blog. God is calling for us to live righteous lives for Him, unashamed. When we look at the apostles in the book of Acts, when we look at Paul and his writing for prayer for more boldness in Ephesians 6, we see a common thread. There is a boldness that accompanies all persons who are filled with the Spirit of God. This boldness comes from God alone and it is a fearless declaration of the power, glory and will of God.

People say that a sinner can come to repentance just by watching a silent Christian witness. I beg to differ. There will ALWAYS come a time where the explanation for your lifestyle and devotion to God will call for a verbal witness. The world will not know until you open your mouth and speak.  That is why the devil constantly wants to keep us under a load of fear, worry, doubt, pride, anything that will reason away the need to verbalize the hope of glory that is within us. Don’t let the enemy win. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is more powerful than any story known to man because the WORD is alive and relevant and strong enough to bring salvation to everyone who believes.

As a member of the royal family, you have the answer to every problem, the solution to every dilemma. His Name is Jesus. The Holy Spirit Who is inside of you reveals Jesus as you study the WORD and sit under Spirit-led teachings of the WORD. Now, it is for us to refuse to be ashamed of the Gospel. We must talk about Him, bring Jesus into our conversation, take every opportunity to give our testimony of why we believe. It can mean salvation for anyone and everyone you come in contact with.

Burn Fearless

“And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:19-20 NKJV

The Holy Spirit is speaking through Apostle Paul to us in this Scripture. Paul is one of those who burned strong for God. He gave up all he had and all that he was so that God could be glorified through his life and his death. More than that, Paul burned fearless. At the time of writing this letter to the Christians in Ephesus, Paul was in chains because he was proclaiming the Gospel and certain people hated him for that. Yet, look at what he is asking prayer for – boldness! Paul has literally put his life on the line countless times by now, and still he is asking for more boldness to make the most of every opportunity to be a witness to anybody and everybody.

Paul was so focused on the prize of the high calling in Jesus Christ that nothing else mattered. Whether people agreed or disagreed with his message, Paul knew that the Gospel had to be preached, even if he had to die, he was willing. He lost his life to Jesus and he found it in Christ.

“For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3 NLT

Princess, if you have decided to burn for God and lose your life to Jesus, than you are going to have to become unafraid of what people will say against you. We have to be so focused on our calling that no one can move us out of God’s will for our lives. We’ve got to burn bright. We’ve got to burn sweet. We’ve got to burn constant and we’ve got to burn fearless.

Burn Constant

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2 NLT

Hello Princess, I pray that you are burning bright and burning sweet for the King. This life of consecration requires the daily sacrifice of our bodies to God. For the King to take pleasure in our lives, we are asked to let Him live through us by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Christian woman who is fulfilling her purpose, is the woman who has completely surrendered her body as a vessel to be filled and used by God. This is love. This is worship. This is sacrifice. This is when we say with our daily living, “Not my will O Lord, but let Yours be done.”

Burn constant. This means for us to daily allow God to mold us and change us. This means that we consistently remain open to the movement, convictions and corrections of the Holy Spirit. We don’t just go with the flow of the world. We listen carefully for the voice of the Holy Spirit. The King doesn’t have to shout to get our attention. We don’t have to go through hard times to practice depending on God. It doesn’t take a tragedy to get us to crack open our Bible. We wake up with the sweet, simple, intimate understanding and awareness of God’s nearness. We long to see His will manifest in our life. We are constantly looking for opportunities to bring glory to our King.

Consecration is a daily practice. It is a willingness to submit to God, and allow Him to do His will through you on earth. It is our responsibility to train ourselves to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is our responsibility to set aside time in our day to seek God’s face. It is our responsibility to make ourselves available for God’s use. It is our choice to do whatever it takes to please God.

Burn Sweet!

“Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar, on the burnt offering. They were consecration offerings for a sweet aroma. That was an offering made by fire to the Lord.” Leviticus 8:28 NKJV

Hello Princess! We are still on the topic of consecration – the giving up of ourselves completely to God the Father. To live to the fullness of our potential, consecration is mandatory. God can’t move through us the way He wants to if we are keeping back pieces of our lives from Him. I dare you to give up your rights and claims to Jesus today! Allow Him to really take ownership of your life. I promise He will change you until you don’t even sound like you anymore. You will sound like Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18)!

When we make this daily commitment of consecration, we are offering ourselves on the altar of sacrifice and we are burning sweet. What does that mean? It refers to the above Scripture which says, “They were consecration offerings for a sweet aroma”. When we give up ourselves completely the spiritual aroma from our sacrificial burning smells sweet and God takes pleasure in it. No matter what, Princess, you and I live to please only One. We please the King when we burn bright and burn sweet. Whatever He is telling you to do today, do it with all your heart. Serve Him without complaining inwardly or outwardly. Come at His call with a good attitude. BURN BRIGHT! BURN SWEET!
