Princess Living
Chosen. Royal. Holy.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 NIV

Princess, do you know what the King says about you? He says you are chosen. That’s right. God chose you. Father chose you to be a friend, a vessel for His glory; a bride for His Son. God says you are royal. Never, ever forget this. We see royalty on social media, in magazines and on newspaper stands. They are constantly in the public eye and generally lead very glamorous lives. You and I are royalty by right given to us by the King above all kings and the Lord above all lords. Don’t count yourself out. We must present ourselves as royalty in the way we speak, the way we dress, and in the way we behave. The difference between Divine royalty and royalty on this earth is this: our crown never fades. Our moral standards remain even when the crowd isn’t looking. We remain loyal to the royal within us (the Holy Spirit) even when it’s hard.

God says you are holy. Jesus Christ Himself, the Perfect One, sanctifies you and I with His blood that He shed on the cross to win His bride.

God says that you and I are His special possession. This means that we are purposed for Him; designed to bring Him pleasure with our lives. There are no other beings that can worship God like the redeemed human race. We are supposed to be declaring God’s praises all over the place, sharing with others the magnificent love of the King Who took us out of sinful darkness and brought us into His wonderful light! Praise God!

Walk With Your Head Held High

“I’m all he wants. I’m all the world to him.” Song of Solomon 7:9 MSG

Everyone says that a lady is supposed to be stately in her stature and elegant in her appearance. This things are true, especially for those of us who belong to the King. Why should we walk confident, with our head held high? Because we know who we are and Whose we are. Princess, there is an unshakeable confidence that exudes from the woman who knows God, knows His heart and knows that she is pleasing Him. It’s unmistakable. This woman needs no human praise to assure her of her purpose. She relies not on anything this world has to offer. This woman relies on the WORD of God and sets her hope and her heart on His promises.

The bride in the above Scripture makes this statement when she speaks about the bridegroom. She declares that his love is for her. Princesses, we should be able to confidently speak these same words when we talk about Jesus. We can follow the commandments of God and live out His instructions, no matter what everyone else is doing because we know that His love is set on us. You know as well as I, that when the King Himself is delighting in you, no one else’s opinion really counts. So Princess, do what God says and walk with your head held high.

Walk Worthy

" That you would walk worthy of God Who calls you into His own Kingdom and glory." 1 Thessalonians 2:12 (NKJV)

Princess, you walk with your head held high and with purpose in your steps.  You speak with confidence and are assured that your future is bright. You stand on the promises of God and can put the enemy to flight when you put God's WORD into action. You are feared by evil; loved by the King most faithful. Goodness and mercy  follow you all the days of your life and favour precedes you. You ate all glorious within indeed, but never forget the One Who makes you valuable.

When the Prince of Peace,  Jesus, died for the sins of the world He made the value of every human skyrocket. The Creator gave His life for the created; accrediting unimaginable worth to the created. As a princess in the Kingdom of God, all the benefits you receive and all the promises you stand on are powerful only because of the King Who gave them to you. Princess, never forget your King.

Never forget the One Who loves you unconditionally. How can we show Him that we will never forget Him? Allow God to use your life to display His Glory. Allow the Holy Spirit to cut anything off of you that is not of God. Spend time with the King; get to know what He likes and flee from the things He hates. Walk worthy of the King Who has called you into His own Kingdom and Glory.

How to Delight The King

"You're as beautiful as Tirzah, city of delights. Lovely as Jerusalem, city of dreams, the ravishing visions of my ecstasy. You're beauty is too much for me - I'm in over my head." Song of Solomon 6:4-5 (MSG)

Did you know Love is vulnerable to love? The Scripture here is so profound because the bridegroom is praising his bride. She has developed to become his delight until the pleasure he takes in her overcomes him. The Bridegroom is Jesus. The bride is the Church. He makes us royal. It is our choice to please Him.

The delight of the Father and the Son are one and the same. How can we make sure we are a delight to the Lord? The answer is found in the earlier verse:

"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine." Song of Solomon 6:3 (KJV)

 Relationship. Intimate relationship. WORSHIP.

There is nothing more delightful to the King than a princess who knows how to worship her Lord. Why? Because it is not a once-in-awhile adoration of Who he is. This is a moment-by-moment eagerness, excitement and willingness to discover her Saviour and glorify Him in every discovery! Princess, you have been created for more. You have been created for the delight of the King. A princess who knows her purpose knows that her life is a worship unto Almighty God.

Named Royal

" For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of Whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named..." Ephesians 3:14-15 (KJV)

What's in a name? Purpose. Identity. Promise. Last week we looked at the Old Testament reference of Sarai being renamed by God so that Abraham called her 'Sarah'. With one name change, God called forth her potential to be the royal mother over generations  to come. Here in Ephesians we see another dramatic change that applies to us when we take up the Name of royalty - specifically of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This Scripture says that the whole family in heaven and earth is named after Jesus Christ. 'The family' means all who have accepted salvation; all of us who now live in the Kingdom of God. You, princess, and I owe our royalty to the Prince Who died for us. By Him we now have a place in the Kingdom of God. We now belong to the greatest family ever! Our Father is not just anybody, He is King. His Kingdom is second to none. His majesty is vast beyond anything we have seen on earth. This King calls us as one of His Own and has sealed us as a Bride for His Son, Prince Jesus.

This is no fairytale. You and I have been named Royal.
