You and Your Mouth Part III - Nov. 15, 2007
From the Pastor's Desk

After reading you and your mouth part I and part II, what have you been doing with your mouth lately? Has God been pleased with what has been coming out of your mouth?  Did you say things about people that you knew was a lie?

Colossians 3:9 says "Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds." 2nd Peter 1:4 says "We have been given great and precious promises." Promises like John 1:12, "but as many as received Him to them He gave the right to become children of God.  To those who believe in His name."  Once we became His children, we became partakers of His divine nature, so we must now speak like God.

Titus 1:2 says, "In hope of eternal life which God who cannot lie, promises before time began."  If God cannot lie, we also cannot lie because we have His nature.  James 3:11 says, "a spring cannot send forth fresh and bitter water at the same time from the same opening."  It is either fresh or bitter. If you were given a test for the last two months about what came out of your mouth, what would be the outcome?  If people's lives depended upon your words, would they still be living today? Remember, whatever you sow, you will reap."

Galations 6:7 says, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows that will he also reap."  Luke 8:11 says that our words are seeds, so sow good seed.
