"We're intercessors. We are IN Christ." - Rev. Clyde Williams

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints..." Ephesians 6:18 NKJV

The Bible tells us that we are never to stop praying. Our communication line with God is made stronger the more we pray. In praying we are not only asking for our needs to be met but we are firstly seeking for His will to be done. Intercessory prayer is standing in the gap on behalf of another party. This type of prayer leads you to focus on others rather than on yourself. It leads us to pinpoint the will of God for any situation, speak His WORD into the challenge and see His power manifest in that situation. The Scripture above is taken from the text that focused on the armour of God. After all the pieces of armour are in place, we are reminded to keep on praying. We are never to slacken in our communication to God because He is the Lord of Hosts and we are in His army. If we are not listening to the commands of the leader, how will we ever effectively execute the battle strategy? Prayer is key to victory!

We pray to God for the saints as well as the sinners. We must continuosly send up prayer for the Church! The Bible says that whoever is in Christ is a new creation. We are in Christ and He is in us. And what does Jesus Christ do?

"Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us." Romans 8:34 NKJV

Jesus is at the right hand of God making intercession for you and me and all those who believe in Him. Since Jesus is interceeding for the saints and He is our example, than we should be doing the same! The spirit of intercession is available to us through Jesus Christ. Dig into His WORD and build up your prayer life. Speak His WORD in faith and see His glory manifest in your life and the lives of those around you!
