The Transformation Process

"The transformation process doesn't happen until we are commited!" Pastor Clyde

And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.  Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”  They immediately left their nets and followed Him.                        Matthew 4:18-20 NKJV

Our story does not end the moment we receive God's Salvation; the Author of our life has written many, many more pages to who we are and the potential that we have within us. We have a responsibility to passionately build upon our salvation and mature as believers from faith to faith, glory to glory and strength to strength. This maturity is the transformation process initiated by that sweet collision of God's Grace and our faith, guided by the Holy Spirit.

The first step in the transformation process is total commitment. The Bible says that when Jesus called to Peter and Andrew they instantly left all and followed Him. The brothers realized that Jesus had something that was more important than their career or economic status. They heard the WORD and immediately obeyed. Not only did they follow Jesus for the three years on earth; they also stayed the course. This transformation process is not instant. It takes time. However once we begin we must not waver, knowing that God's Plans are perfect and we can trust that in the end we will be exactly who He desires for us to be. Total commitment calls for unwavering faith in God and diligence to make His WORD your home. When we live in His WORD we become increasingly sensitive to the Holy Spirit and our desires line up with God's desire for our life. This transformation process brings Glory to God. We have been created for His Glory!
