Who is a Minister?

"If you want to be a minister, learn how to serve." Rev. Clyde C. Williams

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.  And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28 NKJV

What is ministry? Ministry is service to God and to other people in His Name. What do you need to be able to minister? A servant's heart. That's right. You don't need a stage, a microphone, a fan following or a title. You need to be able to serve. Because the Greatest One among us became the Servant of all and gave up His life for our freedom. Jesus Christ is our example and all He did on this earth was serve.

The submission He showed the Father was perfection. There was no "I" in the conversations between Him and God the Father. The conversation was a continual sacrifice so that "Thine will be done". If Jesus had to serve - and no one is greater than their master- why would any Believer think Christianity comes without servanthood? We are all called to be ministers. We are all called to serve.
