Set on Fire for God!

We have been studying the theme of true worship and consecration. Our base Scripture is Romans 12:1 where God is making a request for us to offer up our bodies as living sacrifices unto Him. What does a sacrifice look like?

“…When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of the livestock – of the herd and of the flock. If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord.”                       Leviticus 1:2-3 NKJV

Whenever an offering was made to the Lord in the Old Testament, the whole offering was given. You couldn’t take it off the altar once you offered it up. And whatever it was, it had to be your best. This continues through the Cross. The difference is that now the offering is our lives.

“Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar, on the burnt offering. They were consecration offerings for a sweet aroma. That was an offering made by fire to the Lord.” Leviticus 8:28 NKJV

When we offer our lives up to God we spiritually become a consecration offering. The sin offering was Jesus Christ, but we are consecration offerings to the Father. In the burning we are set on fire for God! It is our submission to His will that causes that sweet aroma to please our Father. Consecrated people are set on fire for Jesus because there is literally no other will for them to follow other than the will of God!

This weekly blog has been created to give women spiritual insight and practical tips on how to live as a princess in the Kingdom of God. Tirzah, the writer of this blog, is a woman who sits under the powerful teachings of the WORD by Rev. Clyde C. Williams.
