You and Your Mouth Part IV

We have been talking about the mouth from the Pastor's desk.  It can bless or curse once we open it.

Luke 8:11 says that our words are seeds. Galatians 6:7 says, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows that will he also reap."  Well, this is a good time of the year to sow good seed.  It is the Christmas season.  It is the time of year that we have chosen to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the son of God.  I know, I know, a lot of people want to say that Jesus Christ was not born on the 25th of December.  I am not disputing that fact but, what I am saying is that Jesus Christ was born and born of a virgin.

Please read Mathew 1:18 - 25:

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.  And she will bring forth a Son and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins"  Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled wihch was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:  "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and bare a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us."  Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her til she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus."

It is a wonderful story for you to tell to those around you, especially at this time of year.  John 1:12 says, but as many as received Him (Jesus Christ) to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.  Let us use this Christmas to give the best Christmas gift ever. Let us make an extra effort to introduce someone to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23 says for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is etrnal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

My prayer for you is that you will have a blessed Christmas and a prosperous 2008.
